Non-Core Exploration

Jervois has four non-core exploration areas – Arunta West, Area 1, the extensive North Queensland Project, all in Australia and the Silverside Project in Canada.

All these have considerable technical merit, however consistent with the current strategy Jervois will be focusing its efforts toward core cobalt-nickel and cobalt-copper projects.

The Arunta West project consists of three exploration licences covering 345 sq km about 600km west-northwest of Alice Springs in the Gibson Desert near the WA/NT border. Jervois entered a joint venture agreement with Australian Mines Limited (ASX: AUZ) on the Arunta West Project in 2016, AUZ subsequently spun-out the joint venture to Norwest Minerals Ltd which is the operator and manager of the project.

Jervois’ Carbonate Creek and Khartoum tenements have potential for tin, tungsten, molybdenum, bismuth, zinc, lead, silver, indium and copper. Several historic mine workings are located on the 6 EPM licence areas.

AREA 1 (100%)

Area 1 is an early-stage general exploration area in the viscinity of Australian Mines Limited’s Flemington scandium project and Clean Teq Ltd’s Sunshine Ni/Co project. The area is prospective for platinum and base metal targets especially in the metamorphic contact area. It is an area of historic gold and tin workings in quartz veins related to the Girilambone Group.

Silverside, acquired during the merger with M2 Cobalt in 2019, is located approximately 450km north of Toronto, Canada and is approximately 30km northwest of the town of Cobalt. The project consists of four mineral claims which have had limited exploration conducted on them in the past. They are however prospective for Cu-Co mineralisation in narrow structures.
